The work presented by exocet, for Trade City, deals with re-evaluation and progression through modification. The transformation of an existing object, image or design alludes to dormant potential and presents a new set of possibilities. The work also questions physical and conceptual boundaries, and in the context of Trade City, comments on what can be achieved by operating inside, outside and in between them.

Outlet is a transitory project concieved by exocet (Porch Gallery/startrunning). This independent artist run space is situated in Manchester's vibrant city centre and will be host to a series of varied exhibitions and spontaneous events. Outlet is a unique undertaking that retains a flexible approach to programming and is open to collaborations and interdisciplinary exchange.

startrunning is a non-profit making, independent, artist-led project with a focus on bringing together and developing an array of interdisciplinary arts practice. Created in order to present and experience challenging new work in unique environments, the initiative aims to offer opportunities to both emerging and established practitioners.

Porch Gallery is an independent, artist run project, created in order to exhibit new challenging artwork, which responds to the unique interior of a household porch in Manchester. This programme has a limited lifespan and will run for eight months. One artist will exhibit for each month of the existence of Porch.
